For proper installation of Tiles Adhesive / Stone following recommendation should be follow
- Substrate Preparation
The substrate must be level , cured , compact, undamaged , rigid, resistant, dry and free from any debonding agents Like Dust particles ,Oil , Grease ,Loose peeling point , Concrete sealer and all surface should be in the range of temperature of 10 -380c .
Dry and dusty surfaces should be dampened with water and excess water should be swept off New concrete surface shall be damp cured and 28 days old before application which will reduce the shrinkage from tile fixing surface. All surfaces must be plumb and true to within 6 mm in 10 ft (3m).
Check the floor flatness before installation of tile and stone adhesive on floor:-Properly prepared substrates should not have more than a permissible variation of 1/8 in. 10 feet (3mm in 3.05 ) from the required plane nor more than 1/16 in 24 inches (2mm in 600mm) When measured from high points in the surface with a straight edge.
Check the wall flatness before installation of Tile and Stone at wall:- prepared substrates should not have more than a permissible variation of 1/8 in 10 feet (3mm in 3 m) from the required plane nor more than 1/16 in 24 inches (2mm in 600mm) When measured from high points in the surface with a straight edge.
Note :-
Removal of Demolding wax powder on the back side of tile:- For easy and proper installation of the large format or thin and slim porcelain tile is the preparation of the surface and complete removal of demolding wax powder on the back side of the tile .should there be a fiber mesh present on the back surface of tile adhesive. Ensure that completely removed before proceeding with the installation with Home Pride 1021.
- Mixing
Add powder 4 to 3 part to 1 part of water (Powder: water ratio 4-3:1) or 5 – 6.5 liter water for 20 kg tile adhesive bag in a clean mixing vessel and Adjust water as per desired consistency . For lumps free homogeneous paste preparation Mix with a suitable mechanical stirrer or slow speed drills (50 – 80 rpm) until lumps free homogeneous paste is obtained. Leave mixture for 5 minutes before use. Always mix the paste in required quantity which can be consumed within pot life.
- Application
Apply Home Pride 1021 Tile Adhesive on the substrate with the flat side of the trowel. By the notch side of trowel Comb the additional adhesive on the substrate as per bedding thickness use the proper size notch trowel. Tile must be fixed within 10 minutes of adhesive applied, depending on the porosity of the surface and atmospheric condition. Apply adhesive on substrate surface as per tile fixing rate.
Check the tile adhesive ribs periodically and if a skin has formed remove the dried adhesive and apply fresh adhesive. After apply the adhesive fix and press tile firmly into position with a slight twisting action. Good contact should be maintained with back of each tile with adhesive.
Fix the tile such a way, no voids remain behind tile. Beat tile using rubber mallet and adjust level.
For large size tile or irregular surfaces, tile adhesive can additionally apply on the back of the tile to ensure full adhesive contact. Leave proper space between tiles by using HP spacers.
Clean off excess adhesive from upper surface of tile and between joints.
Clean tools as soon as possible after tiling work completed with water.
Health Precautions
This product contains Cement & silica can be irritating to eyes and skin.
Avoid eye contact and prolong contact with skin & Wash thoroughly after handling.
If eye contact occurs flush with water for 15 minutes and consult with physician.
Does not breath dust wear a P2 type respiratory mask, Gloves, Spectacles and Dust mask should be worn.
